My 1st Ever DIY Video!

You guys, I did it! I finally made a DIY video to share with the world. Let me tell you what a huge deal this is...While I am super comfortable with DIY projects, I am far from comfortable when it comes to being in front of the camera. You know when you are at a holiday dinner and your uncle brings out the camera and pushes record? Well, I am the one who is sprinting out of the room, or hiding behind a chair. Can you relate? The bottom line is that this is something that I've wanted to do for a really long time and have finally decided to pull the trigger. It is by no means perfect, and I'll warn is NOT short. However, the latter is intentional.

After years of perusing blog land, I've realized that there is a gap to be filled. You can find plenty of bloggers who rock their trade and use their platform to showcase their work. And you can find just as many who showcase their work along with loads of pretty pictures and skimpy tutorials. But how many times have you followed a pin to a tutorial only to realize that the author assumes you already know how to use a drill? Or a crucial step is left out of their still photos? By nature, I like to write, but I've realized that if I want to be a better teacher and fill the gap, I'm going to need to step outside of my comfort zone and get in front of the camera. I truly believe that the best way to learn how to do these DIY tasks is by watching. So folks, I want to start bringing you current projects that you can use to spruce up your own home, the skills and knowledge it takes to complete your own projects, and the confidence to get started.

Got questions? Ask away in the comments and I will try my best to answer them.
